What I fit

• Full bathrooms

  The whole room out, and a new one in. Waste and pipework moved to where the new layout needs them, walls boarded, floor levelled, then tiled, fitted and sealed.

• Ensuites

  Usually the tightest room in the house, and the one where the setting out matters most. Getting the door, the screen and the basin to live together is most of the work.

• Wet rooms and level access showers

  Formers, falls and tanking. This is the job that leaks if it is rushed, so it is the one I take the longest over.

• Cloakrooms

  The smallest room in the house and the one every visitor uses. Small enough that people put it off for years, and worth doing properly when they stop.

• Shower rooms

  A room built around the shower instead of the bath. It is what most people ask me for once the bath has stopped getting used.

What is included

Most fitters do one trade and bring other people in for the rest, which is where the waiting and the finger pointing come from. I do all of this myself.

• The pipework and the waste, including moving them for a new layout
• The electrics, meaning the lights, the shaver point, the extractor and underfloor heating
• Boarding, tanking and levelling the floor
• All the tiling
• Fitting the suite, the screens, the doors and the furniture
• Sealing, silicone, and making the room good again afterwards

Most people buy their own suite and tiles. Tell me what you are looking at before you order anything and I will tell you whether it will fit and whether it is worth having.

If a wall or a ceiling needs plastering, I will tell you at the quote rather than halfway through the week.

How quoting works

I come out and look at the room, measure up, and ask what you actually want. Then I write you one fixed quote for the whole job.

There are no figures on this website and there is no calculator. Two bathrooms the same size can be completely different jobs once you know what is behind the walls, so I would only be guessing until I have stood in the room.

If something turns up behind a wall that nobody could have known was there, I stop and tell you what it means before I go any further. You decide what happens next.
