Stone cellar brought back into use
A low stone cellar opened up, insulated, rewired and plastered, then floored, with the old masonry walls left exactly as they were.
What it was
The ceiling was opened right up, back to the original timbers, and some of them needed work before anything could go over the top. The walls were bare whitewashed stone and worth keeping, so they stayed and everything else went in around them.
